The first stage of the IBPS probationary officer exam is known as the preliminary exam. We can also call it screen round. In this exam, you get a total of three sections. You get a duration of 1 hour for all three sections. In this exam, you are asked 100 multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks. In this way, each question is for one mark.

If you answer a question wrongly, one-fourth of a mark is deducted from you as a penalty. To qualify for this exam, you have to get minimum cut marks in all your subjects.
